Today is the first day of the new termIn class when I got the new textbooks given out by my teacher,  I was full of joy. I was determined to study twice as hard and try to do better in my studies.

At the same time our teacher told us that many children in the distant areas couldn't go to school because of povertyThe Hope Project had been set up for helping those children in our country. Hearing this I was very sad. I thought that,  as a League member,  I should offer a share of love for the Hope Project.

After school I took all my pocket money I had saved for nearly two years out of the bank of our school and sent it to the office of the Hope Project in our city. I also wrote a letter to those poor Children expressing my best wishes.
